UPDATE: Search for missing Claremore teen suspended, will resume Tuesday

CLAREMORE — A search for a missing 15-year-old Claremore boy has been suspended and will resume Tuesday morning.

The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office Dive team is assisting the Claremore Police Department in the search.

Claremore Assistant Chief of Police Charles Downum verified that the team is in the water searching to see if the boy fell into a pond located near the 2400 block of North Chambers.

Gloves were found near the pond and the water’s surface has visible signs something could have been thrashing around in the water, Downum said.

The teen described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall 150 pounds was last seen Sunday evening.

The search is focusing on a neighborhood on the northwest side of town.

Downum says a missing child alert has been issued for the boy.

Police say they are continuing to search for the teen across the city and have been in contact with the child’s family.
