Published October 18, 2009 09:42 am - Rogers County and Owasso homes in annual tour. ‘Harvest of Homes’ tour to showcase Rogers County, Owasso homes Claremore Daily Progress Oct. 18, 2009 — Communities to the north of Tulsa are growing fast, and the time has never been better to harvest your dream home.
The “2009 Greater Owasso Harvest of Homes,” presented by the Owasso Chapter of the Home Builders Association of Greater Tulsa will showcase the latest home building trends in the communities of Owasso, Collinsville, Oologah, Skiatook, and Verdigris. Fourteen homes and one development will be open to the public through Oct. 18 and Oct. 23-25 from 1-6 p.m. daily. Admission is free. The Harvest of Homes offers attendees the opportunity to view a wide array of floor plans, innovative building techniques and new trends in materials and design. It is a great venue to research and shop for new homes in the areas north of Tulsa and to seek insight and advice form some of the area’s top builders. Featured builders in this year’s event include American Heartland Building Co., Capital Homes, CedarRock Homes, E. in B, Inc., Home Creations, Iron Wood Custom Homes, LLC, Rausch Coleman Homes, Rod Henry Construction, Shaw Homes, Smalygo Properties, and Terry L. Davis Homes. The even also will showcase Stone Canyon subdivision in Owasso. In addition to the homes, visitors will be able to view fall-themed outdoor decorations designed and constructed by local school children, which will be on display at each home. The decorations will be judged by local celebrities and members of the home building industry and all of the participating groups will receive prizes ranging from $150 to $750. The Official Harvest of Homes Guide is available in the October issue of New Home Resource & Remodeling Guide, which is distributed at area grocery stores such as Reasor’s, Food Pyramid, and Piggly Wiggly, and at Owasso QuikTrip locations. The Guide contains a map of all home locations and a description of each home. The event is sponsored by the PSO ENERGY STAR Homes Program.
