Dunlap Wrecker receives AAA Service Provider of Excellence award

Dunlap Wrecker Services in Claremore was presented Wednesday with the AAA Oklahoma Service Provider of Excellence award.
The award is given each year to one business statewide, and is based on quality of service, which includes customer service, call response and professionalism.
Field Representative DeAnna Brook said AAA National contacted her and asked who she thought was the best in the state.
“I have no issues with (Dunlap) at all. They handle their business and our members so well. They always do what they can,” she said.
This is the second time for Dunlap Wrecker Services to earn the Service Provider of Excellence award since becoming a partner of AAA Oklahoma in 1991.
“We’ve had a good partnership with AAA. We can’t do our job without them and vice versa,” said Dunlap owner Randy Post. “The secret to success in this business is when the phone rings, you get up and go to work — no matter what time it is. It’s about placing customers first and everything else second.”
Post said since he and his wife, Patti, live and work in “smalltown” America. They come in contact with the same people over and over.
“You begin to know a lot of your customers by name. It’s important to treat them as if they were your own family,” he said.
Dunlap opened in 1948, and has been in the same location at West Fifth Street since 1949. Post said he is proud to have such excellent customers in Claremore.
“We’ve been here forever and we will be here forever. It’s an all-around team effort,” he said. “Good help is hard to come by, but when you find it, it will stick with you.”
