CLAREMORE —

Claremore citizens received a sneak peek of the city’s new branding strategy Thursday night during a presentation by Arnett Muldrow & Associates, a South Carolina-based firm hired to energize development, drive business growth and encourage relocation.
The unveiling of the new market strategy included community logos for partnering organizations: the City of Claremore, Claremore Chamber of Commerce, Claremore Main Street, Claremore Visitors Bureau, Claremore Industrial Economic Development Authority and the Innovation Center of Rogers State University. Partnering organizations sponsored the rebranding efforts that includes signs and advertising.
For three days, Ben Muldrow, of Arnett Muldrow, and his team held input meetings with community leaders and residents to create a platform for organizations to communicate collectively, to define Claremore.
“We’ve got a great community of partnerships to help tell this story and move this city forward,” said Muldrow.
At the unveiling, Muldrow presented the community logo that features a sans feris typeface of the word Claremore and a star — each point including a different shade of orange, green or blue.
On Wednesday, Muldrow and his team captured photos of businesses, buildings and landmarks that best defined the community to help build attraction.
“Your community is an extremely proud one, and you have a lot to be proud of,” he said. “You are constantly crafting new stories and things to celebrate, and we hope to create a platform for the growth of the stories you have to share, capturing the dynamic nature of the community.”
The firm plans to revisit Claremore in April to provide additional photography and products for each organization.
“Ben has worked in two communities where I knew the city managers personally, and they highly recommended him,” said Claremore City Manager Jim Thomas. We couldn’t have asked for a better recommendation.”
