CLAREMORE — Claremore is getting an economic boost from four local construction projects.

The expansion of “Oklahoma Plaza” continues as road crews work to complete the boulevard connection with State Highway 66 north of Lowes.
The on-going project is expected to bring additional retail growth and development to Claremore.
Other area businesses are choosing to expand by remodeling existing structures in town.
The owner of El Charro is renovating the old Pepper’s Grill and will be opening its second location in Claremore.
Bennett’s Route 66 Pharmacy is renovating the old Braums located on Lynn Riggs Blvd.
Another addition to Claremore will be the construction of a CVS Pharmacy,    located at the corner of Lynn Riggs Blvd. and Will Rogers Blvd. across the street from Walgreens.
The construction is just one indicator of the continued growth in Rogers County.
Rogers County Planning Director Larry Curtis recently reported record growth and development for the county with approximately $8.14 million in building permits for the month of March.
Claremore City Manager Jim Thomas has also been working to create a new business climate with the introduction of the Claremore 2020 plan.
