Darius Rucker will take the Enid Event Center stage in March

ENID, Okla. — Country music star Darius Rucker, who rose to fame in the 1990s as lead singer of Hootie and the Blowfish, will perform 7 p.m. March 7 at Enid Event Center as part of his True Believers Tour.

The concert also will feature Eli Young Band and special guest David Nail.

The True Believers Tour is named for Rucker’s third chart-topping country album.

The tour will kick off Jan. 29 in Champaign, Ill., at State Farm Center with tickets going on sale at 10 a.m. Nov. 15. An exclusive pre-sale will be available beginning Nov. 7 on dariusrucker.com. Rucker is teaming up with Tickets-for-Charity and CMT One Country to offer premium seats to benefit the USO and Pattison's Academy — available exclusively at www.ticketsforcharity.com.

The tour will end March 9 in Loveland, Colo.

Tickets for the Enid concert are available at enideventcenter.com or by calling 855-TIX-ENID. Prices range from $39.50 to $59.50, depending on location in Enid Event Center. Information on locations is available on the website. Tickets for the Enid concert also will go on sale at 10 a.m. People who subscribe to the Enid Event Center mailing list, which can be done on the website, will have a chance to purchase tickets at 10 a.m. Nov. 14.

Rucker’s recent single “Wagon Wheel” helped the platinum-selling entertainer earn multiple nominations from the CMA and ACA Awards.

“As an entertainer, there’s nothing like seeing the fans react to your music. I’ve been blessed to have country radio take six of our songs to No. 1, so we thought it was the perfect time to take the True Believers Tour on the road,” Rucker said. “It’s going to be an awesome show with some great entertainers as both Eli Young Band and David Nail deliver live.”

Rucker will perform during the 47th Annual CMA Awards, which airs live Nov. 6, and on “CMA Country Christmas,” which will air Dec. 2. Both specials will air on the ABC Television Network.

Eli Young Band has charted two consecutive No. 1 hits at Country Radio with “Crazy Girl and “Even If It Breaks Your Heart.” Their new single, “Drunk Last Night,” off their forthcoming album is approaching the Top 10. Their smash hit “Crazy Girl,” has been certified double platinum, was named Billboard’s No. 1 Country Song of The Year and won the 2012 ACM for Song Of The Year.

Nail is a Grammy-nominated MCA Nashville recording artist. He recently released his fastest-rising single to date, “Whatever She’s Got,” which is the lead single from his forthcoming third studio album due out in the spring of 2014.
