One of two inmates who escaped from William S. Key Correctional Center in Fort Supply last week has been captured in Major County.
Dustin K. Flatt, 31, was caught by Major County Sheriff’s Office deputies Monday in the Cheyenne Valley area, according to a sheriff’s spokesman.
David Wayne Mackey, 31, remains at large. The sheriff’s spokesman said deputies continue to search in the Cheyenne Valley area and the Glass Mountains for Mackey.
She said authorities are urging people in the area to make sure vehicles and houses are locked up.
Mackey is a white male with brown hair and eyes. He is 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs 189 pounds. He is serving a six-year sentence for drug and assault convictions from Pontotoc County.
Flatt was serving a two-year sentence on drug and theft convictions from Love County.
They were discovered missing Oct. 14 from the minimum-security prison. Authorities said they were present for a 6 p.m. Oct. 14 head count but were missing at the 8 p.m. check.
