The Indian Women’s Pocahontas Club regularly impacts the community in positive ways, with this month is no exception, as the group will be joining the Boys & Girls Club of Chelsea on Saturday, April 26th at 11 a.m. for a Community Clean-up Day.
“Take this opportunity to be an example by participating in this clean-up effort,” said Ollie Starr, Pocahontas Club. “Together we can make a difference in the lives of the children in this community by being an example of how to be caring and responsible citizens.”
Members of the Indian Women’s Pocahontas Club also have been supplying the clay and other related supplies for a pottery class, through a grant made possible by the Wal-Mart Foundation.
In may, the Indian Women’s Pocahontas Club’s will host their annual “Old Fashion Picnic” on Saturday May 17, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Will Rogers Birthplace Ranch near Oologah.
