Sequoyah Elementary students enroll

CLAREMORE —

Sequoyah Elementary School was open Tuesday for new student enrollment for grades Pre-K through 5th grade.
Parents and students met with teachers and counselors in different stations and filled out needed enrollment forms for the upcoming school year.
“We’ve had bursts of children enrolling and many of them transfers from other school districts,” said Principal Lisa Tittle.
Tittle was in and out of rooms visiting with students, some for the first time, answering any questions from parents regarding the first day of school.
Sequoyah Elementary’s theme this year is Eagle Dynasty — “Where everyone is learning, learning, learning.”  Teachers and faculty members decorated the halls in a Duck Dynasty theme, after the popular reality TV show. Staff wore camouflage shirts in celebration of the theme.
Tittle said she is excited about the theme and incorporating it throughout the school year.
Classes for Sequoyah Public Schools begin Aug. 15.
