CLAREMORE —

Rogers County junior high and high school band students auditioned for chairs in the Rogers County Honor Band earlier this month in Catoosa.
A total of 40 Claremore High School and 25 Will Rogers Junior High students made this year’s honor band.
Concerts begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Robson PAC.
“All-county was established over 20 years ago to give more students the opportunity to participate in an honor band,” said Claremore Band Boosters Membership Coordinator Debbie Gunkel. “In the past, Oologah hosted the clinic and concert but since the Robson PAC was donated in 2007, Claremore has since hosted the event.”
Participating students will put in close to 12 hours of practice with guest conductors Monday and Tuesday before the concerts.
“There is no charge to the public, just an appreciation for these fine Rogers County musicians,” said Gunkel.
