CLAREMORE —

In an effort to positively impact the lives of young women, Rogers County Volunteers for Youth/BLAST Summer Camps is teaming with Claremore’s Safenet Services and RSU Public Television to present the 2nd annual iExpo.
This innovative annual event aims to be on the cutting edge of an impactful event, and will be from 1-6 p.m. on May 18 at the Claremore Community Center.
The only area event of its kind, the 2nd annual iExpo is specifically geared toward teen girls, from 6th through 12th grade, college, and all area teenage girls, who are encouraged to be a part of this ground-breaking event.
Early registration for the iExpo is $5, before May 15th. Registration at the door is $10.
With the iExpo motto “Our Girls, Our Future” in mind, positive messages will be woven throughout the event.
Focuses will include self-esteem and self-image, dating and relationship violence, self-defense, and standing up against substance abuse.
Workshops will include interactive opportunities and time for girls to ask questions and get information. Presenters for this exciting event include:
• Real Beauty
• Self Defense
• Zumba Workshop
• Relationship 101
Claremore’s Safenet Services will also be present for questions and information in conjunction with the Relationship 101 workshop.
Area vendors will also be present, offering opportunities for participants to browse during shopping breaks throughout the event.
