CLAREMORE —

The City of Claremore is hosting a variety of summer camps during June and July.
All classes are limited in the number of students who may participate. The city is hosting 40 different camps for children of various ages.
For those classes that require fees, participation will be determined by those who have paid first, according to Ron Paris, Claremore Parks and Recreation Department.
If the class size is limited to 15 participants, only the first 15 paid will be eligible to participate.
Full refunds will be granted if request is submitted seven business days in advance of the camp or class start date.
Once the camp or class has begun, no refunds will be granted.
In the past few years the demand for activities has increase, according to Paris.  This year the city will offer several more camps than last summer, he added.
“This is the fourth or fifth year the city has offered the program and we are trying to get as many kids to participate as possible,” Paris said.
Some of the camps include; Arts and Crafts, Kindermusik, Digital Photography, Sign Language, Space Camp, “BLAST”, Science is Fun, Sculpture, Cooking Camp, Fun with Fossils and Music, Dance, Basic Drawing, Theatrical Make-up, Dinosaur Camp, Quiz Bowl Trivia, Jewelry Making Camp and Reading with Ms. Robin.   Parents or guardians can pay camp fees by cash or personal check.
