John was recently injured at work, breaking his collarbone in a fall.
Now unable to work, he will have to file for temporary disability, but he doesn’t know how long the process might take.
Meanwhile, he has no vacation time left and the bills are quickly piling up.
With four school-aged children to provide for, the extra expenses that come with the holidays just aren’t in the budget this year.
A small gesture like a Christmas dinner basket from Share the Spirit would ease this family’s burdens for a day, and give them something to be thankful for.
Donations to Share the Spirit are coming in, but too slowly. The total stands at just $5,905, with only two weeks left to raise the remaining $18,095.
As the deadline approaches, every dollar is critical. Please consider how you can help your neighbors in need.
Tax-deductible donations can be made to Share the Spirit, P.O. Box 248, Claremore, OK 74018, or left at the Claremore Progress from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
All donations are used to purchase food and all food goes to Rogers County families. Canned goods are also being collected at the Progress office.
Donor names will be listed unless anonymity is requested. Recent donors include Chris A. and Mary K. Pedersen, Katheryn M. Hinesley, Gary and Melynda Stone, Janice M. Keenan, John R. and Kay F. Detter, Rachel H. Lowery, Rex and Dana Crumpton, The Burrows Agency, Jean A. Moore, James D. and Dorothy Smith, Cara Cowan and Douglas Watts and AXH Air-Coolers..
