Dorothy Evaline (Cantrell) and Russell Myers Bradshaw of Claremore are celebrating their golden wedding anniversary. They were married June 16, 1956 at the bride’s home north of Claremore.

Dorothy was born to Audie and Madgalene Cantrell on Aug. 5, 1938 in Alluwe. Russell was born to Gus and Victoria Bradshaw on March 15, 1937 in Oowala. Both graduated from Foyil High School where they were high school sweethearts. Most of their married life they have lived in Claremore or on the family farm at Oowala.

They have owned and operated Bradshaw Electric for 45 years. Russell’s hobbies include hunting, fishing, golfing and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. Dorothy loves sewing, quilting, cooking and scrapbooking. They both enjoy watching their grandchildren play ball and Russell still help coach his grandson’s baseball team.

Their four children are Randy Bradshaw and wife Valerie of Plano, Texas; Pam Felts and husband Kurt of Bloomington, Ind.; Kim Davis and husband Gary of Claremore; and Gus Bradshaw and wife Jennifer of Anadarko, Okla.

Grandchildren are Audie, Torri and James Bradshaw; Chris, Zach and Benjamin Felts; Josh, Matthew and Taylor Davis; and Cheyenne, McKenna and Kiersten Bradshaw.

Dorothy and Russell’s children will host a come and go anniversary celebration from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, June 18, 2006 at Kim Davis’ home north of Claremore. The presence of friends and family is the only gift requested.
