Jim and Judy (Krueger) Clemmens of Chelsea are commemorating 40 years of marriage June 4, 2006.

Jim was born in Claremore and Judy was born in Coloma, Mich. The high school sweethearts graduated from Foyil High School and were wed June 4, 1966 at Verdigris Baptist Church.

Both had successful teaching careers and retired from the Oologah school system. Jim retired as principal in 1994, but had also taught high school history for several years. Judy retired as third grade teacher in 1999. She taught in several elementary grades as well as working as librarian.

The Clemmens also both taught in Foyil. Jim was high school principal there as well.

Judy now sells real estate full time. Both love to travel in their motor home. Jim’s hobbies include fishing, playing the steel guitar and wood-working. Judy’s hobbies include reading, sewing and scrap-booking. Their favorite past time is spending time with their grandkids. The Clemmens have always made family a priority in their lives and provided a Christian home.

Their children are Kimberlee Elaine and husband Brett William Knaust of Claremore, Stacey Lynn and husband Gregory Yoder of Delaware, Okla., and Johnny Stephen Clemmens of Claremore.

Jim and Judy have four grandchildren: Brett James Knaust, 13; Chance Garrett Knaust, 7; Holden Lee Yoder, 3; and Aubrey Lynn Yoder, 2.

In honor of their anniversary, family members hosted a reception on June 3 at First Baptist Church’s youth building.
