William and Diana Purdom celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary July 18, 2006.

Renewal vows were spoken at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 16 at Mid-America Christian Center, officiated by Rev. Carol Scarth.

Diana wore an off-white chiffon ankle length gown with tiny gold threads and a matching jacket. Her hair was adorned with a circle of roses and baby’s breath from which a waist length veil flowed.

She carried a bouquet of peach to off-white roses trimmed in gold ribbon.

An heirloom diamond and sapphire necklace borrowed from a close friend completed the outfit.

The couple’s daughter, Margaret, served as flower girl and their son, William Lee, served as sound man for the traditional wedding music.

After the service, a reception was held for the couple who were greeted by family and friends in the fellowship hall.
