Ralph and Katie Trout of Claremore will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary at a commemoration party at the home over Memorial Day weekend.

They were married May 18, 1946, at Luke Army Air Base in Phoenix, Ariz.

The former Kathleen Marie Douglas graduated from the Traphagen School of Fashion in New York City and was a homemaker. Her hobbies include cooking and baking, quilting, gardening, and sewing.

Ralph Elmer Trout flew 75 combat missions as a bomber pilot in World War II and worked in aircraft maintenance at the American Airlines facility in Tulsa. His hobbies include home and auto maintenance and repair, and farming.

Their children are Michael Trout of Selkirk, New York; Carrie Sloan of Claremore; Philip Trout of Mannford; and Heidi Mozingo of Lee’s Summit, Mo.

They have eight grandchildren: Paul, Christopher and Deborah Trout; Aaron Brown; Laurie and Jamie Castleman; April Goswick; and Blake Mozingo. Their three great-grandchildren are Payton Trout, Isaac Magers and Connor Swinney.
