Jamye Nicole Henry and Jason Everett Walker exchanged wedding vows at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006 at First Baptist Church of Nicoma Park in Nicoma Park, Okla.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. John and Karla Henry of Claremore. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Billie Sue Henry and the late John J. Henry of Edmond; Dr. Louis and Wilma Weipert of Glen Haven, Colo.; and the late Raymond D. Davidson of Tulsa.

Jamye is a 2003 Valedictorian graduate of Claremore High School. She is currently a senior Baccalaureate Scholar at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, majoring in pre-dental hygiene and minoring in music. Jamye is a member of Gamma Beta Phi and the Presidents and Dean’s Honor Roll. She works as a flute instructor and is employed by Kohls Department Store in Midwest City.

The groom is the son of Mr. William and Linda Walker of Oklahoma City. He is the grandson of Mr. Bobby and Mary Walker of McLoud, and Mr. Don and Mary Ann Jones of Corona, Calif.

Jason graduated with honors from Choctaw High School in 1999. He received his BBA in Human Resources Management from UCO in 2004. Jason is currently employed as an Employee Benefits Coordinator with Midland Group in Oklahoma City and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.

The bride’s colors were white, silver and royal blue. She wore a full-length white strapless A-line organza-over-satin gown. The corset bodice was adorned with beaded metallic lace appliqués that cascaded down the front of the skirt and around the hem and were scattered down the cathedral-length train.

A double blusher veil adorned her head.

Jamye carried a bouquet of cascading white roses, stephanotis, and English ivy.

As the wedding party processed in, a picture slideshow of the bride and groom from infancy to present was viewed. The final slide was the couple’s engagement picture.

Maid of Honor was Anna Baldwin, college friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Lynsie Herrold, college friend of the bride; Amanda Sorensen, classmate and friend of the bride from Claremore; and Sarah Walker and Mary Walker, sisters of the groom.

Flower girl and ringbearer were sister and brother Mariah Filibeck and Dakota Filibeck, family friends of the groom.

Matt Tipton, long-time friend of the groom, served as Best Man. Groomsmen were Dustin Loehrs, Randal Thompson, Justin Rosebury and Brandon Cox, friends of the groom.

Jared Henry and Joshua Henry, brothers of the bride, and Damon Beat and Brian Hostetler, friends of the groom, were ushers.

Guestbook attendant was Sarah Davidson, cousin of the bride.

A reception hosted by the bride’s parents was held in the Grand Room of the Midwest City Senior Citizen Center.

Following a honeymoon trip to San Diego, Calif., the couple resides in Midwest City.
