New Dollar General store robbed Sunday

CLAREMORE — An armed robbery took place just before 6 p.m. Sunday evening at the newly-built Dollar General located at 4th and Brady Street near the Expo center in Claremore.

The man held a handgun up to the clerks demanding money, said Claremore Police Investigator Wayne Stinnett.
Customers were in the store at the time, however no injuries occurred, he said.
The suspect is a white male in his early 50s between 5 foot 6 and 5 foot 10 weighing anywhere from 210 to 220 pounds.
