Police dispose of grenade replicas found in home

CLAREMORE —

The Tulsa Police Department Bomb Squad properly disposed of two replica grenades found in a vacant Claremore home Friday.
Claremore Investigations Sergeant Wayne Stinnett said the reporting person, who is currently taking care of the foreclosed home, discovered the devices and called the Claremore Police, who then informed the bomb squad.
He said the bomb squad examined the material and determined that the hollowed out shells were replicas. TPD secured the material and cleared the residence after no other harmful devices were found.
Stinnett said there has been a few reports of trespassers in the residence, which has been vacant since 2012.
