Rachel Hammett, of Claremore, and Ben Hockey, of Franklin, Tenn., will be exchanging vows in an Australian/American wedding. The ceremony will be at Vesica Piscis Chapel in Catoosa at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2007. Rev. Dan Remus of Kenosha First Assembly Church in Kenosha, Wis. will officiate.
The bride is the daughter of Dave Burrows and Cindy Hammett-Burrows, and Jim and Robbi Hammett all of Claremore. She is the granddaughter of Allan and Esther Fredericks of Claremore, and LaNelle Yates of Springdale, Ark.
Rachel is a Claremore Christian School graduate, and attended Rogers State University. She works at Hammett House Restaurant, and is involved with the Bridge Church in Owasso.
The groom is the son of Lyndon and Delwyn Hockey of Cairns, Australia. He is the grandson of Allan Hockey of Brisbane, Australia, and Doug and Edna Mackay of Brisbane, Australia.
Ben graduated from Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Information Technology. He is currently a sound engineer for tobyMac.
