4 County officials take oath

CLAREMORE — Four elected officials were sworn into office Wednesday as they began their 2013 term for service in Rogers County.

Rogers County Sheriff Scott Walton and Rogers County District 2 Commissioner Mike Helm took an oath of office as they continue their years of service to the county.
Rogers County Clerk Robin Anderson and Rogers County Court Clerk Kim Henry took the oath for the first time, although neither of them is unfamiliar with county government.
Anderson has worked for Helm for a number of years and Henry has served the law enforcement community including service in the district attorney’s office.
During the ceremonies, each official took the time to thank the citizens for selecting them to serve.
Henry thanked her friends, family and the citizens of Rogers County.
“I know they [Anderson and Helm] are both going to be good public servants for the people of Rogers County,” Judge Dwayne Steidley said.
Walton kept his remarks simple saying, “I thank you all for your support, now lets get to work.”
Anderson thanked her family for their support.
Helm had the longest list of individuals to thank beginning with his pastor and including Kristen Bergman.
Bergman worked for the county as a public information officer during Helm’s election cycle.
Questions were raised about Bergman’s involvement in the campaign after Helm’s emails were received through an open record’s request.
The county paid Bergman approximately $12,000 for her services.
