Rogers County Courthouse offices to close during move

CLAREMORE — Rogers County Commissioners finalized plans for the move to the new courthouse beginning April 15 and some offices will be closed or have limited operations during the two-week move.

The offices of the district attorney, court clerk, treasurer, courts, information technology, protective orders, drug court, bogus check and community service will be closed from April 15-19.
The old courthouse will be open during phase one of the move and the southeast entrance will be open to the public.
Individuals that are not able to use the stairs to the temporary public entrance can call (918) 341-3535 to receive assistance in accessing the courthouse.
The commissioners will have their weekly meeting as scheduled in the commissioner’s meeting room at 9 a.m. April 15. This will be the last meeting in the old building.
Some emergency functions will still be provided to the public, including emergency protective orders and Judge Terrell Crosson’s court will be at the Rogers County Jail during the move.
Rogers Conty Court Clerk Kim Henry requests that anyone seeking a marriage license before April 19 plan to come to the office before April 12 due to office closures.
“Marriage licenses and other services will not be available next week, so please plan ahead,” Henry said.
The second phase of the move will occur April 22-26, and the old courthouse will be closed to the public.
The new courthouse will open for business and commissioners will have   their first meeting in the new facility at 9 a.m. April 22 on the first floor in the commissioner’s meeting room.
The offices of the county clerk, sheriff, assessor, human resources, OSU Extension, emergency management, maintenance, planning commission and commissioners will be closed for phase two.
“Bare with us during the move it is a once in a lifetime event, or at least once in a 100 years,” said Christine Day, administrative assistant to the commissioners.
