Ask The Mayor

Mickey Perry
Mayor of Claremore

CLAREMORE —

Does the City of Claremore have a location for bulk trash drop-offs?

The City of Claremore does not at this time provide a site for public bulk trash disposal.
However the Sanitation Department will pick up bulk trash curbside.  A full service bulk pick-up is available for a small fee to those customers who wish to have household items that won’t fit in trash bag or poly-cart picked up at their homes.  Bulk pick-ups will be scheduled for your normal trash collection day only. In order to schedule a bulk pick-up, you must call the Utility Office at (918) 341-0456 0456 before 3:00 pm on the business day prior to your pick-up day.
The charge for bulk pickup will be determined by the Sanitation Department at a rate of $10 per regular size pickup truck load (even with the top of the bed walls).
There is no maximum charge. These charges will be added to your next month’s utility bill.
A full service brush pick-up is available for a small fee to those customers who wish to have their yard waste and storm debris picked up at their homes. Brush pick-ups will be scheduled for your normal trash collection day only. In order to schedule a brush pick-up, you must call the Utility Office at (918) 341-0456 before 3:00 pm on the business day prior to your pick-up day.  While every effort will be made to remove the brush as soon as possible, the Utility Department cannot guarantee it will be picked up on your next collection day.  It is necessary to call and arrange for pick-up please do not just place at curb and expect pick-up unless arranged.
No lumber or items longer than six feet will be accepted. The brush pile must be out at the curbside on the street your front door is facing. There will be no pickup in alleys. The charge for brush pickup is $20 for each 30 minutes of chipping with a minimum charge of $20 and a maximum charge of $60. If your brush pile is too large to be chipped in 1.5 hours, the Sanitation Department will issue an estimate and allow you to decide whether or not to have it chipped based on the amount of the estimate before they proceed. These charges will be added to your next month’s utility bill.
The City of Claremore Sanitation Department offers a Door Service Program for its senior and disabled citizens. If you would like more information on the program call the Utility Office at (918) 341-0456.
See you around town!
