CLAREMORE — Claremore Regional Hospital reopens its west entrance this week allowing visitors easier access to hospital facilities and the recently reopened gift shop.

Renovations including the new entrance were part of a project to update and unify hospital facilities for visitors.

The estimated $800,000 face lift started in April and will be finished Sept. 1,  according to Peggy Trease, Director of Marketing.

The face lift included renovating hospital entrances, interior paint, flooring and waiting rooms including new furniture throughout the hospital.

Visitors to the hospital can once again visit the gift shop operated by the Claremore Hospital Auxiliary.

“We are trying to offer more unique items at different price ranges to make the shop accessible for all visitors said,” Cindy Baker, Hospital Auxiliary volunteer.

Proceeds from the gift shop are used to support many different community projects like Rogers County Adult Day Care, Safenet Services and the free community medical clinic.
