Medical clinic opens at Port Plaza

CATOOSA — Port industries now has more convenient access to medical services, as IMWell Health, LLC celebrated the grand opening of its newest clinic at Port Plaza.

Charles G. Meckfessel, Chairman of Tulsa's Port of Catoosa Facilities Authority and emcee for the grand opening, said the return of convenient medical care is a plus for the Port and its community.

“We are pleased that IMWell Health, LLC is opening this new clinic, and we believe this is an excellent selling point for industries considering doing business at the Port,” said Meckfessel. “It will no longer be necessary to drive up to five miles to see a medical professional. Now, they are right next door.”

The grand opening program included a ceremonial ribbon cutting and comments from Meckfessel, as well as Dr. Catherine Womack, President and Chief Medical Officer, IMWell Health, LLC; Dan Parker, Chief Executive Officer, IMWell Health, LLC; Bob Peterson, President, Melton Truck Lines, Inc.; Sergeant John Adams, Tulsa FOP 93 Health & Welfare Trust Chairman for the Tulsa Police Department; and Michael Shaw, Human Resources Director, River Spirit Casino.

Dr. Catherine Womack, President and Chief Medical Officer of IMWell Health, said locating the clinic at Port Plaza is a win-win for the Port, IMWell Health, and the surrounding community.

“We have already seen tremendous interest in the clinic from many of the Port's industries as well as several others located throughout the region,” Womack said. “This location — as well as another we have recently opened in mid-town Tulsa — will assist companies in providing medical care to their employees and their families, by offering comprehensive primary care services that include wellness and prevention as well as acute care diagnosis and treatment.”
