Persons wishing to make a donation to support the Red Cross response can visit, dial 1-800-REDCROSS or text REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation (as of Monday, May 20th, text donations will be used for the response to the Oklahoma storms), mail donations to the local American Red Cross Rogers/Mayes/Wagoner County Service Center at 400 W. Claremore Civic Concert Band to perform at 7:30 p.m. from the G. Waide Sibley Gazebo, corner of Weenonah and Will Rogers Boulevard in Claremore. Concerts are free to the public, who are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for comfort during the performance.

Claremore Duplicate Bridge Club, 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m., Claremore Community Center, 2301 N. Sioux. The Foyil Cherokee Nation Elderly Nutrition site has moved to the Foyil Community Center, 3rd and Andy Payne Boulevard. They are open each Thursday for lunch (doors open 10 a.m.; lunch served at 11). Menu or information: Frankie Long, (918) 261-8101.

Rogers County Volunteers for Youth and the City of Claremore present “Splash, Snack, and Shark Attack Pool Party,” 6-9 p.m., Claremore Recreation Center. Ages 10-18 welcome. Free admission and the film “Finding Nemo” will be shown.

Will Rogers Library Genealogy Volunteers are available each Monday from 3-7 p.m. to answer questions and assist with research.
Rogers County Master Gardeners Association hosts Tulsa Zoo Chief Horticulturist Jay Ross, 7 p.m., Rogers County Building, 416 S. Brady. Ross oversees all vegetation in the various enclosures at the zoo as well as a vegetable garden which grows supplemental food for the animals. Free to the public.
Marine Corps League meeting, 7 p.m., at the Meals on Wheels office, 715 McClellan St., behind the Episcopal Church on Seminole. League is open to all current and former Marines and FMF Corpsman.
