CLAREMORE — TUESDAY July 3

City of Claremore Independence Day fireworks display spectacular at dusk, Claremore Lake. Park will be closed 10 p.m. Monday and re-open 6 p.m. Tuesday, with live entertainment to begin at 6 p.m., and fireworks at dusk. Parking is free to the public at Will Rogers Stampede Arena. Boy Scout Troop 88 will offer concessions at Claremore’s Independence Day fireworks display. Hot Dogs, sno cones, soda, bottled water, popcorn, and candy will be available for $1 per item.  Proceeds will benefit the troop and help to provide new equipment and help with scouts' camping costs. WEDNESDAY July 4
Kids Fishing Derby at Claremore Lake Park. Registration begins 7 a.m. in 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12 age divisions. First 400 children will receive a free rod and reel, and there will be drawings for two bikes to be given away in each age division. Information: (918) 342-2522 or 341-8688.
Pelivan Transit closed for Independence Day. Business resumes Thursday.
St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church Summer Celebration,7-10  p.m. Fun, food, fireworks. Open to the public. Bring lawn chairs.

Will Rogers Library Genealogy Volunteers are available each Monday from 3-7 p.m. to answer questions and assist with research.
 
WEDNESDAY July 11
No community dinner at Foyil United Methodist Church this month. They will resume in August.
Claremore Farmers’ Market every Wednesday, 7 a.m. until sellout, Claremore Expo Center parking lot.
 
THURSDAY July 19
Lifechanger Church Carnival Day, July 19-21, 7-9 p.m. Free admission and games, inflatables, music by local bands, and 25 cent concessions. Located 1/4 mile north of RSU on Highway 88. Information: (918) 341-8344.
