CLAREMORE — TUESDAY Jan. 17

Claremore Community Chorus spring concert rehearsal, 7-9 p.m., at St. Cecilia Church, 1304 N. Dorothy. All choral parts needed. They will be performing songs from Broadway. Information: (918) 693-0359 or 343-8143.

Friends of the J.M. Davis Museum meeting, 1 p.m., in the museum’s Claremore Room. Discussion of membership drive, Davis birthday celebration in June, and other upcoming events.

Rogers County Health Department diabetes class, “I’m in Control,” begins Feb. 14 at 12:30 p.m. Sessions continue the 15th, 16th, 21st and 22nd, from 1-3 p.m. Topics include diet, excercise, stress, foot care, medication, SBGM, and eye care. Free of charge, but enrollment required. Call Fran Hrdlicka, (918) 341-3166.

THURSDAY Jan. 19

Rogers County Coalition meeting, 12-1 p.m., at Northeast Technology Center Claremore campus. Everyone interested in improving the health of Rogers County is encouraged to attend. Information: www.rogerscountycoalition.org.

Cherokee Nation Elderly Nutrition Dinner, 10 a.m.-noon. On the menu: lasagna, red cabbage, tossed salad, garlic bread, fruit jello. Information: Frankie Long, (918) 261-8108.

FRIDAY Jan. 20

Sequoyah Middle School Student Council sponsors give back night at Cherry Berry in Ne-Mar Center. 10 percent of sales from 3-9 p.m. will be donated to the family of Mallory Massmann.

VFW Steak Night serving ribeye steak, potato, salad and bread, at the Claremore VFW, 1717 W. Dupont. RSVP by Jan. 18 to (918) 342-5730. Open to the public.

MONDAY Jan. 23

Will Rogers Library Genealogy Volunteers are available each Monday from 3-7 p.m. to answer questions and assist with research.
