Rogers County Drug Abuse Program annual meeting, noon, 1010 E. Will Rogers. Report of year’s activities and election of officers. RCDAP is a United Way Agency. Information: (18) 342-3334.

Marine Corps League meeting, 7 p.m., Meals on Wheels office, 715 S. McClellan behind St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. Open to all current and former Marines and FMF Corpsmen.

Friends of the J.M. Davis Museum meeting, 5 p.m., Claremore Room. Discussion of the upcoming J. M. Davis Birthday Celebration and other events.



WEDNESDAY June 20

Preschool Story Time, 10 a.m., Catoosa Public Library, 105 E. Oak. Story time with Miss Sandy. The children will be involved in singing, story time, and art activities.  (918) 266-1684.

Monty Harper’s Sing-Along Slumber Party!, 1:30 p.m., Catoosa Public Library. Monty Harper entertains readers with songs about night-time adventures. Interactive sing-along experience. Wear your pajamas.

Annual Rogers County Democratic Party Picnic, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Claremore Lake Shelter 1. Candidates will speak, and hamburgers and hot dogs will be served. Bring lawn chairs.

Habitat for Humanity house dedication ceremony, 2 p.m., 910 W. 6th Street, Claremore. Public is invited.

Finale, 1:30 p.m. Catoosa Public Library, There will be a celebration of reading during the grand finale of the summer reading program. All reading lists will be turned in today. Readers that have participated in the program will receive a reading award and prize. Children that have read 20 books or more will be given a chance to enter their name for the grand prize. Refreshments will be served.



THURSDAY June 28

Oklahoma Ghost Stories with Marilyn Hudson, 2 p.m., Catoosa Public Library. Marilyn Hudson will tell ghost stories based in Oklahoma. As a librarian and published author, Marilyn’s stories are truly an unforgettable experience. Several of her books are available for checkout in the library. After the program will be an awards presentation with prizes and snacks.



SATURDAY June 30

Mt. Zion Benefit Garage Sale 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 805 North Oseuma Avenue, Claremore. Donations needed with drop-offs available 5-8 p.m., Wednesdays, 2-5 p.m., Saturdays, until the garage sale. Questions, contact Pam Carbin at (918) 378-3343.



MONDAY July 2

Freedom Celebration Presentation, 7:30 p.m., Robson Performing Arts Center. Concerts presented by a choir, band and handbell choir. Sponsored by the Claremore Ministerial Alliance with members from eight area churches participating. Admission is free with a love offering being accepted.
