Foyil First Assembly of God Church yard sale, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., at the church, 12901 Highway 66. Proceeds benefit ladies functions and projects.
 
SATURDAY June 8
New Life Baptist Church Ladies Annual “Picnic on the Hill” Event 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the church. Lunch, drawings for door prizes, music and inspirational message by Teresa Bradly. Nursery provided. More information, call (918) 341-4820.
Military Order of Purple Heart meeting 10 a.m. Claremore Veteran’s Center chapel. More information, call (918) 283-1035.
Claremore Order of the Eastern Stars hosts pancake breakfast 7-10:30 a.m. Claremore Senior Citizen’s Center. Hearty breakfast for $5, with proceeds to support local charitable causes.

Circle G 4-H Club hosts Dog and Cat Dip and Rabies Clinic, 12:30-2 p.m., Stillwater Milling Co. Vaccinations will be administered by Dr. J.P. Yorke, DVM, Regional Animal Care Center. Proceeds benefit the Circle G 4-H Club.

Rogers County Cherokee Association meets 2 p.m. RCCA Building, east of the Justus-Tiawah South Campus. Planned showing of the Wilma Mankiller “Cherokee Word for Water” presentation has been delayed. Rogers County Cherokees encouraged to attend, bring suggestions for activities.
Hendricks Family Reunion 12 p.m. Claremore Lake (pavilion 2). Bring family’s favorite dishes and join for fellowship.

MONDAY June 10
Will Rogers Library Genealogy Volunteers are available each Monday from 3-7 p.m. to answer questions and assist with research.
“Jazz at the River Band Camp,” 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday, Verdigris High School. Musicians fifth through twelfth grade and college students welcome to attend. Cost, $125. Information: Euell Hanna, (918) 260-0193.

Persons wishing to make a donation to support the Red Cross response can visit redcross.org, dial 1-800-REDCROSS or text REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation (as of Monday, May 20th, text donations will be used for the response to the Oklahoma storms), mail donations to the local American Red Cross Rogers/Mayes/Wagoner County Service Center at 400 W. Claremore Duplicate Bridge Club, 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m., Claremore Community Center, 2301 N. Sioux. Lewis 1st; Don Fletcher & Ed Van Shick 2nd; Dave Schramme & L. D. Allison 3rd; Mike Curry & Dianne Bostic 4th. The Club played in competition with 119 tables and came in 2nd over all.

The Foyil Cherokee Nation Elderly Nutrition site has moved to the Foyil Community Center, 3rd and Andy Payne Boulevard. They are open each Thursday for lunch (doors open 10 a.m.; lunch served at 11). Menu or information: Frankie Long, (918) 261-8101.
Three Rivers Artists meeting, 6:30 p.m., Rogers County Building, 416 S. Brady. Program will be a demonstration on “Fractured Art” techniques by Rae Partridge.

Rogers County Volunteers for Youth and the City of Claremore present “Splash, Snack, and Shark Attack Pool Party,” 6-9 p.m., Claremore Recreation Center. Ages 10-18 welcome. Free admission and the film “Finding Nemo” will be shown.

Rogers County Master Gardeners Association hosts Tulsa Zoo Chief Horticulturist Jay Ross, 7 p.m., Rogers County Building, 416 S. Brady. Ross oversees all vegetation in the various enclosures at the zoo as well as a vegetable garden which grows supplemental food for the animals. Free to the public.
 
TUESDAY June 18
Marine Corps League meeting, 7 p.m., at the Meals on Wheels office, 715 McClellan St., behind the Episcopal Church on Seminole. League is open to all current and former Marines and FMF Corpsman.
 
THURSDAY June 27
