Letter to the editor: Faith in our community

Claremore Progress

CLAREMORE — Dear Editor,

I must say, I have never been so happy regarding the outcome of a Claremore City Council election as I am with this past week’s results.

Our COMMUNITY spoke - individuals who can see through the blatant political maneuverings of the few who disregarded what was in the best interest of OUR community and tried to propose their own selfish and self-serving agendas.

I am proud to be a Claremore citizen, and thankful to so many who have supported my family through the ridiculous and unnecessary politics that have been played over the past several months.

I have faith in our most recently-elected leaders and believe we have a group of community AND business-minded people who will work hard to promote and progress our town.

The people spoke — loud and clear — and are ready to have leaders make the decisions required to move our town forward.

It will take a group of committed, talented individuals who will not stand for status quo — but instead, look for ways to continually improve and enhance the foundation laid so many years ago by those leaders who were willing to make decisions that weren’t necessarily popular, but were always in the best interest of the community.

I wish our new leaders all the best. Your community supports you!
