Downtown Claremore Pot-O-Gold Giveaway continues CLAREMORE DAILY PROGRESS March 12, 2009 — Your chance to win some “green” continues in Downtown Claremore stores. Entries for the Pot-O-Gold Giveaway will be available through noon on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17. Participating downtown stores will be giving out entries to win a Pot-O-Gold worth over $500 in cash in prizes.
Downtown shoppers can receive one free entry per store visit and one entry for each purchase made during the Pot-O-Gold Giveaway. Shoppers can also increase their chances of winning with the purchase of additional entries for $1 each. Downtown stores participating in The Pot-O-Gold Drawing so far include: The Bike About, Boarding House Books, Waterfront Frame & Art, A Gallery of the Arts, Claremore Daily Progress, Steve’s Saturday Store, Outwest Home Décor, Completely Country Claremore Décor, Hudson-Metcalf Antique Mall, My Doll Castle, RCP Printing, Boom-a-Rang Diner, Gin’s Apple Dumplin Restaurant, Dorothy’s Flowers, Antiques, Etc., Heins Jewelry, Ann & Barbara’s Interiors, Ann’s Cleaners, Melton’s Insurance and Taps Unlimited. The Pot-O-Gold Drawing will be held at 2 p.m. in the Claremore Daily Progress parking lot at the Claremore Main Street’s Downtown St. Patrick’s Day Celebration. You need not be present to win. One lucky winner will walk away with over $500 in cash and prizes. The Downtown St. Patrick’s Day Celebration will begin at 11a.m., also in the Daily Progress parking lot. From 11 to 2, volunteers will be serving a traditional Irish meal of Bangers & Mash (Irish sausage and mashed potatoes). Tickets for the meal cost $5 and can be purchased in advance at any of the participating downtown merchants or at the Main Street office, 419 W. Will Rogers Blvd. Tickets may also be purchased at the lunch. Proceeds from the meal will be used to purchase American flags to be displayed downtown during patriotic holidays and events. Wear your green and join the fun at the St. Patrick’s Day Sidewalk parade at 12:30. Musical entertainment will be provided by the always fun Celtic Cheer Band.
