— County Commissioner Dan DeLozier has closed a bridge south of Lowry Road. The bridge on Old Highway 88 (4130 Road) is located between EW 46 and EW 45 near North Haven Edition. The bridge is north of Claremore in Oologah School District.
The bridge is an aging WPA project. Because it is a 12-foot culvert it is not technically considered a bridge. It started caving in Wednesday morning. DeLozier closed one lane by late morning and closed the bridge this afternoon.
“It will remain closed until we can replace the culvert,” said DeLozier. “Hopefully it will only be closed through next week. I have to get a boxed culvert to replace it.”
