Published November 18, 2008 11:32 am - The 20 graduates of Claremore’s inaugural “Citizens Government Academy” were in attendance at Monday night’s city council meeting to receive recognition and merit for completing the city’s first weekly academy Citizens Government Academy CLAREMORE DAILY PROGRESS November 18, 2008 — The 20 graduates of Claremore’s inaugural “Citizens Government Academy” were in attendance at Monday night’s city council meeting to receive recognition and merit for completing the city’s first weekly academy designed to inform and explain the workings of city government to everyday citizens. Following the recognition and the remainder of the council meeting, academy graduates joined council members for an informal dinner and discussion.
