Mullin hospitalized with torn esophagus

CLAREMORE — Congressional District 2 candidate Markwayne Mullin will be remain in a Tulsa hospital all week after he was admitted last Friday.

“He noticed he couldn’t swallow, Mullin for Congress campaign manager Tim Ross said.
“Unfortunately, I had to go to the hospital and they found that I have a small tear in my esophagus,” Mullin wrote on his Facebook page. “
“I'm feeling just fine and in good condition while they run a few more tests and they are telling me right now that it should heal just fine on its own. Although the situation isn't serious, I would appreciate your prayers for my healing, and for the doctors and nurses who have to deal with me while I would much rather be out campaigning ”
Monday Mullin updatted his status including a photo with his daughter.
“Thank you for all the kinds words of encouragement and prayers that you’ve been sending our way. I greatly appreciate it,” Mullin wrote.
Mullin is expected to be released within a few days and is already planning to return to the campaign.
Once released from the hospital, Mullin will return to the campaign trail, Ross said.
