More than halfway complete

Construction of $18M courthouse ahead of schedule, might open in March

CLAREMORE — Construction continues on the new Rogers County Courthouse and the project is running ahead of schedule.

Originally, Flintco reported project completion would be in April 2013 however the latest estimates place completion at the end of February 2013.
Additionally, Flintco Construction reported that 52 percent of the budgeted $18 million project was complete.
“BKL and Flintco have been fantastic to work with and have initiated cost saving measures. They have brought them to us to help save money for the people of Rogers County,” said Rogers County Commissioner Kirt Thacker.
“They identified issues before they became problems and offered solutions which has made the job go faster and smoother,” he said. “Crews are currently completing sheet rock work on the first two floors. The building is projected to be fully electric within a few weeks, according to Flintco representatives.”
The roof is nearing completion as crews finished shingle work this week.
“I think this courthouse is something the people of Rogers County will be extremely proud of for many, many years to come. “The old one is simply not just outdated, it's also too small. We have judges that are sharing courtrooms. So their dockets are backing up,” he said.
