CLAREMORE — Relay For Life Rogers County will be holding a team meeting 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 22 at the Northeast Technology Center in Claremore.

“We encourage everyone to attend,” Roger Evans said. “People do not realize how much fun they could be missing.”

The meeting will be the first step in team building for this years relay event.

The relay will be held on April 12, however fundraising efforts are just starting.

“The meeting will be very informative and all the necessary tools will be provided for team success,” Evans added.

Cancer research is only the beginning and the event funds several programs.

Relay For life not only offers support to cancer survivors and caregivers, it helps provide other opportunities for individuals impacted by cancer.

Relay For Life helps to fund programs that assist cancer patients with lodging during treatments, transportation to doctor’s visits and scholarship opportunities for young cancer patients.

Additionally, fundraising funds programs that help patients deal with the emotional impact of treatment.

By joining Relay For Life Rogers County each member of our community has the opportunity to make a direct impact of the lives of our friends and neighbors. For more information about the campaign, contact Roger Evans at (918) 693-1321.
