If there is more than an inch of paint remaining mix it with cat litter or cement. Let the mixture harden and then put it in the garbage with the lid off, according to Lawrence.
Refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners will not be accepted without Freon removal and a Certified Technicians Freon Removal Certification Statement and will not be received at the rolloffs located within the City of Claremore, Lawrence said.
Refrigerants must be taken directly to the landfill. All metals and piping will be accepted at the Landfill, she added.
The landfill will also receive televisions and monitors at no charge and opens at 7:00 a.m. to closes at 1:00 p.m.
“The gates close promptly at 1:00pm even if you are waiting in line, please don’t wait until the last minute. If you are going to the Landfill, please go early,” Lawrence said.
