Special city council meeting called to discuss placing city manager on administrative leave

OWASSO —

Mayor Doug Bonebrake has called a special meeting of the Owasso City Council for 4 p.m. Friday in the council chambers at Old Central, 109 N. Birch.

The agenda posted at 4 p.m. Thursday called for an executive session “for the purpose of discussing personnel matters relating to the Office of the City Manager, including matters related to job performance.”

The council will decide on “placing the City Manager on administrative leave and authorizing the Mayor to commence an independent investigation into internal affair issues on the office of City Manager,” the agenda said.

They will also take action to appoint an Acting City Manager.

A spokesperson for the City of Owasso said they could not comment on the issues which have prompted the meeting.
