June revenue collections dip slightly from 2012

OKLAHOMA CITY —

State officials say overall collections to the state treasury in June were down about $19 million compared to June 2012, but collections for the entire fiscal year outpaced those from last year.

Figures released Tuesday by Oklahoma Treasurer Ken Miller show gross receipts for the month of June were about $976 million, a decrease of about 1.9 percent from June 2012.

But Miller says overall collections for the fiscal year that ended June 30 still outpaced those from last year. Gross receipts for fiscal year 2013 totaled $11.2 billion, an increase of more than $240 million from the previous fiscal year.

Sales tax collections were down by 1 percent in June compared to the same month last year, but up by more than 4 percent over the last year.
