CLAREMORE —

A natural gas leak at the intersection of J.M. Davis Boulevard and Blue Starr Drive has been repaired, according to Oklahoma Natural Gas officials.

The leak occurred around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday east of the railroad tracks next to Gripado’s Italian restaurant. Parts of the railroad and intersection were closed until 12:30 p.m. while crews worked to shut off the leak.

Claremore Police and fire department officials were on hand assiting ONG workers and redirecting motorists.

Claremore Fire Station Commander David Horton said crews were working on a gas line when a trencher struck and ruptured the line. The leak took approximately 45 minutes to repair.
