BA rescinds water emergency, restaurants can reopen

BROKEN ARROW —

Broken Arrow officials say restaurants can reopen after testing found the city’s water supply is safe.

City Manager Thom Moton lifted a precautionary boil order Thursday morning after testing found no presence of contaminants in the city’s water. The city issued the boil order Tuesday after a break in a water pipeline.

On Wednesday, the Tulsa Health Department ordered the closure of all restaurants that serve open food. City officials say those restaurants can reopen after sanitizing all equipment, flushing water lines and throwing out ice.

The boil order is also lifted for residents in Broken Arrow.
