The search continues for a new director of Emergency Management in Rogers County.
Last week the Rogers County Commissioners made an offer of employment to a candidate, who later refused the position.
The commissioners will meet today in executive session with three more potential candidates.
In other business, the board briefly discussed the expenses for the new E911 Center.
E911 Director Janet Hamilton said the expected monthly expenses for the center will be $96,000 of that $73,000 is salaries.
The revenue for the center is anticipated to fluxuate with a monthly average of $49,000.
Ten of the salaries are currently being funded from the Rogers County Commissioner’s General Fund, according to Hamilton.
Five positions are currently being funded from the E911 fees that are collected from cellular and land-based phone lines.
On top of the monthly expenses, the center has a projected one-time equipment cost of approximately $1,034,000, Hamilton said.
This does not include the projected $1.8 million for the construction of the building.
Hamilton said that the Rogers County Sheriff’s Office, Oologah-Talala Medical Services, Verdigris Fire Department and Verdigris Police Department are the only groups in Rogers County that have agreed to join the facility.
Also, Judge Sheila Condren presented information to the board regarding the Rogers County Drug Court.
District Attorney Janice Steidley previously supervised the drug court, however it will now become a separate entity, according to Condren.
“The change has been made for a variety of reasons.” Condren said. “This is common in many other counties in the state.”
Condren was simply notifying the board, as they will serve as a pass through for the court funds.
Rogers County Court Clerk Kim Henry will be assisting, through the collection of administrative fees for the court. The Rogers County Sheriff’s Office is contracted with the court to provide home visits.
