CLAREMORE — The Children’s Advocacy Center will host a fundraiser basketball game at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Claremore Expo Center.

The event will raise funds for the center and will feature a friendly competition between the Claremore All-Stars and the Rogers State Univeristy Hillcat staff.

Tickets for the annual event are $5 for adults and $2 for students.

The game is sponsored by RSU.

The event will not only feature the game, but have several raffles for gift cards to Reasors, QT, and Walmart, plus a 50” flat screen televisions and rounds of golf at Heritage Hills, according to Lou Flanagan CAC board member.

Live auction items include a steak dinner for eight in the home of RSU President and Mrs. Larry Rice, signed autographed cookbooks from Trisha Yearwood and rounds of golf from the Patriot Golf Course in Owasso.

“Please come and support this United Way and nationally accredited organization that provides a safe and child-friendly facility for coordinated intervention in child abuse cases for children in Rogers, Mayes and Craig Counties,” Flanagan said. The Center provides on-site forensic interviewing, medical examinations, and mental health counseling for children and their families. The Center is a collaborative effort as regulated by law. Law enforcement, child welfare and health professionals work together to provide assistance to children who visit the center.
