It happened at about 10:30 p.m. on County Road North South 4170 and East West 590, near Inola in Rogers County, reports indicate.

According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports, 20-year-old Gabriel Haywood of Inola was “stumbling around” as he was walking, falling into the roadway and then being struck by a 1998 Honda, driven by 68-year-old Terence G. Sylvester.

Haywood was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa in serious condition, suffering from head, trunk, and internal injuries. Sylvester was not injured.
