CLAREMORE — A pedestrian who was involved in a July 20 collision has been identified by Claremore police.
Claremore police said 28-year-old Richard Troxel was standing in the middle of Lynn Riggs Road at about 2:30 a.m.. He was bemt over as if picking something up or trying a shoe, accoring to a police report.

The collision involved a black 2004 Mazda M3I.Troxel was life-flighted to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa and is currently in ICU. He has been unable to communicate since the collision, according to police.
The driver of the vehicle stated he never clearly saw Troxel and thought he had struck an animal. The passenger stated she saw him but it was too late to warn the driver, according to the police report.
Five consecutive street lights were not functioning at the time of collision.
Troxel did not seem to be intoxicated or trying to harm himself, according to the report.
The driver and passenger were not injured.
