Post rules for Singer, questions DA

Despite the previous request made to Crosson involving a different officer, the DA did not request a judicial determination in Singer’s case.
“If the prosecution had simply disclosed these materials, we would not be here today,” Post said.
The DA’s office should have disclosed this Giglio issue to the officer, she added.
“I think that it is important to observe at this point in time the Giglio case is about prosecutorial misconduct, not law enforcement misconduct,” Post said.
The court ordered that the materials be provided to Singer and the City of Claremore.
Post questioned Wantland about the methods that were used to release the information about Singer.
The response was limited.
