The Claremore High School Marching Band performed their annual Band Spectacular concert Nov. 21 at the Robson Performing Arts Center. The concert featured all of the spirit tunes played in the stands during the football games, as well as halftime music featured in the marching performance “Heart Beat.”
CHS cheer and the dance team were also invited to join them. Director Kevin Couch invited prominent members of the faculty, administration, coaching staff and community to be guest conductors of the band.
“This is the most fun concert our band performs,” said Susan O’Dell, Claremore Band Boosters Association board member. Audience members were pulled in to participate by clapping and even dancing to the drum cadences. It’s a celebration of a successful season for band, color guard, football, cheer and dance team.”
O’Dell said the PAC staff “goes all out” to frame the band in an array of lights as a backdrop during the concert.
