A Foyil family struggles this Christmas with one more mouth to feed since last year.
The single mom has three children to provide for, which forced her to return to work just two weeks after the baby was born so she could keep her job.
Due to the lingering effects of the recession, her hours were cut back again this year. So, it has been harder than ever to stretch the family’s food budget.
Her parents are helping as much as they can, but they are also on a fixed income.
“Thanks to local churches, the family received help over Thanksgiving. But now, Christmas is coming and there is no extra money for the children,” said school-based social worker Gloria Conaway. “A Christmas miracle would be a big help to this struggling mother.”
Share the Spirit will provide hundreds of “Christmas miracles” in the form of food baskets for Rogers County families just like this one.
By making a contribution, you can have a part in helping our neighbors in need.
